TOMRA, Vice President Plastic Materials and Processes

Harald has over 20 years of experience in plastics business with knowledge in a broad range of materials and processes. From 1998 to 2015, he was responsible for Plastic Materials in the Automotive Fuel System Business at KAUTEX TEXTRON and PLASTIC OMNIUM, handling material approvals in existing and new products globally with interfaces to plastic producers and the respective departments at the OEM. From 2015 to early 2019, he was Head of R&D at LUCOBIT Inc., responsible for Plastic materials used in construction Industry, mainly designing materials for sealing membranes (roofing, tunnel, swimming pools) and flexible Polyolefins e.g. for cable applications.

Since spring 2019, he is Vice President Plastic Materials and Processing in Tomra’s Circular Economy Team, mainly focused on Chemical Recycling and Quality Topics of recycling materials and finished products, e.g. Food Packaging. Harald is a Chemical Engineer and holds a PhD in materials scienceon a topic from the recycling of plastics and improving the quality of recycled materials. He is also a Six Sigma Blackbelt and Lecturer on Innovation and Quality Management
