Samim Saner

Born in 1965 in Istanbul, Samim Saner has studied graduate, post-graduate and Ph.D. levels in the fields of Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry and Environmental Sciences at Istanbul Technical University, Vienna Technical University and Bosphorus University consecutively. Currently, he is the General Manager of Kalite Sistem Laboratories Group which is the largest food research & testing group in Turkey. He is also the managing partner of ISACert Turkey, a part-time instructor at the Chemistry Department of the  Bosphorus University as well as being a lead auditor at TURKAK – Turkish Accreditation Agency. Saner has more than 25 years’ experience in the food safety and quality, along with experience in the fields of public health, training, research & consultancy to food sector. He has numerous articles published in various scientific and technical journals and many papers presented at congresses and seminars. He is the chairman of the Turkish Food Safety Association, and the board member of several associations such as TurkLab – Calibration and Test Laboratories Association and UDDER - Conformity Assessment Association. Saner, knowing English, French and German, is the member of the Editorial Board of some international scientific journals; Journal of Food Analysis (Springer) and British Food Journal (Emerald).
