Dr. Rüştü Bozkurt

Born in 1943. Graduated from Bursa Educational Institute (1965) and Eskisehir Economics and Commercial Sciences Academy (1971). After working as a teacher for 10 years in Eskisehir Tunali Middle School, he started working in Sonolay Newspaper published by Web Ofset Group in Eskisehir. He was a board member of Bursa Educational Institute Students’ Association, Turkey’s National Students Federation and Turkish Teachers’ Union. He joined Eskisehir Chamber of Industry as a “researcher”. He was assigned as deputy of educational member in Istanbul Economics and Commercial Sciences Academy, where he completed his doctorate studies (1982). He worked in Turkiye Sisecam Factories Inc. Planning Directorate (1982). He worked as a Planning Expert, Vice Manager, Manager and General Secretary. He has focused on the problems of SMEs since around 1975. He shared his observations with newspaper and magazine articles. His works were given “Nezih Demirkent Award” of Turkey’s Journalists Association, “Association for Journalists of Economics, Award for the Columnist of the Year”, “MUSIAD Award for Economics Writer of the Year”, private award of KOSGEB for those who continously contribute to SMEs, “Award for Those Who Contribute to the Introduction of Innovation” of Ministry of Economics and TIM. He received awards for contributions to the sectors from various non-government organizations. He has been continuously writing for Dunya Newspaper since 1981. His “management” articles are also published in vocational magazines of non-government organizations.
