Özge GÖKÇE AKTAŞ

Environment Sector Manager, EU Delegation to Turkey

Graduated from the Middle East Technical University with a BSc. in Biological Sciences. Her academic  studies were complemented with an MSc. from University of Surrey on Food Quality Management and an MSc.  on European Studies from METU. She started her career in the field of environment at the Ministry of Environment in 2000.  She then worked for 11 years for the UNDP Global Environment Facility working with a wide array of environmental policy issues ranging from biodiversity conservation to chemicals management, land degradation and climate change mitigation and adaptation.  Since 2013, she is working as the Environment Sector Manager at the EU Delegation to Turkey, working specifically on the harmonisation of the entire EU environmental legislation, institutional capacity building and policy development.
