Cemil Çakar
PAGEV Board Member / Congress Chairman
Cemil Çakar was born in Boyabat/Sinop in 1965. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Economics in 1986. He speaks English (advanced), German (intermediate), Italian (intermediate) and Russian (intermediate). He has been in plastics and chemical raw materials import and international trade and an expert in international business development and joint ventures since 1998.
He is the Chairman of Executive Boards of Karex Polimer ve Petrokimya Dış Tic.Ltd.Şti and Karex Enerji A.Ş., Thai Government Advisor, Deputy Chairman of Foreign Economic Relations Board Turkey-Thailand Business Council, Executive Committee Member of Foreign Economic Relations Board Turkey-Korea Business Council, and Member of Swiss Commerce Association in Turkey. As part of his duties, he took active roles in organizing several official committees, international business meetings and business visits. Cemil Çakar is married with 3 kids.
