Necipoğlu joined Dow Turkey in 1983 as a Sales Manager in plastics. He has held a variety of domestic and International positions in the company over the more than 30 years of his career.

Prior to being appointed to his existing role in January 2012, Necipoğlu was Sales Director of Styrenics and Performance Materials for Dow Middle East, Africa, India, and Eastern Europe, and was also head of Turkish operations. Necipoğlu served as Dow Turkey’s National Manager during its acquisition of Rohm and Haas in 2008. In 2011, Necipoğlu facilitated Dow Europe GmbH’s signing of a joint venture agreement with Turkish acrylic fiber producer Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi A.Ş. for the manufacture and commercialization of carbon fiber and its derivatives under the name DowAksa. The same year, he won the prestigious “Genesis Award for Excellence in People Development” at Dow, an accolade given to its top 20 people leaders globally and in which candidates are nominated by employees and selected by executive management.
 

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering with Polymers from the University of Manchester and a Master of Science in Polymersfor Advanced Technologies from the University of Sheffield in the UK. Necipoğlu is a board member of The American Business Forum in Turkey (AmCham Turkey or ABFT) and the International Investors Association of Turkey (YASED).
